[ When everyone wakes up, it's in the lobby of a grand hotel. If the doors are tried, they're not only locked, but covered with metal plating. All windows are, too, so they can't even see outside. Instead, really, the only choice is to stand around and talk to each other for now. Or maybe explore. Probably should do that with someone...

Either way, it's very obvious that memories are missing from all of them. ]

[ Right, stand and talk to someone... after the initial shock of 'where am I' and 'Why am I here', but also, realizing Rin is here too...

... might as well see who all they're both stuck with, they both decided, after making sure they were both okay. Relatively okay. Beyond the fact he hardly remembers a damn thing anyway, most of these specific people... he doesn't recognize at all. Crossing his arms, thinking a moment... ... before deciding to walk up to one. Specifically, the tall purple haired fellow. Rin proceeds to follow along, though still glancing at the others a bit too, curiously. ]

...Hello, there. Interesting group here, hm?

[ The rather tall man takes a moment to observe them. Both of them. It's quite obvious he's looking them over. Sizing them up? Maybe. ]

It is. May I ask the names of such lovely people as the two of you?

[ Raises an eyebrow a bit. Noticing the sizing up, but... hm. Perhaps not much. ... however, he's more defensive over sizing Rin up. ... He'll keep a relatively neutral face for now, however. ]

Kaito. Just Kaito. and this-

[ Lightly puts an arm around Rin's shoulders. ...protectively? ]

[ Rin leans in to Kai's arm, but waves a bit, looking up at the man! She has a bright, if slightly nervous smile. Mainly due to the circumstances. ]

Mmn, I'm Rin! It's nice to go meetin' ya, mister! Uhm...

[ She headtilts a bit, with a more curious expression. ]

What's your name? Who're you?

[ The man will bow deeply, taking Rin's hand and kissing the back of it. It seems to be nothing more than a polite gesture. ]

Duke Sateriasis Venomania. It's a pleasure to meet you, Kaito, Rin. Any idea where we are?

[ Did he just--- ... no, it. Might of just. Been a polite gesture. That's known as just a polite gesture, yes? Polite. Not disrespecting.

... ... ... even still, Kai shoots a sharp glance at Venomania. Even if it's nothing, Watch it. ]

[ Oh! She seems mildly surprised at that, she's not quite used to gestures like that. Still, she knows that kinda polite gesture is a thing, so she's not really bothered by it at all! ]

Pleasure to go meetin' ya, too! ... I don't think either of us are knowin' where we are though...? Just some weird... lobby...

[ His smile falters into something a bit more worried now. ]

Then it seems like none of us knows where we are. The two of you were the last to wake. We didn't want to leave you here alone and vulnerable. I suppose now would be the time to split into groups and try to find out anything.

[ His glance eases a bit at that, or at least isn't so much of a glare. But, that mention seems to worry him as well. ]

None of us, is that right... [ Crosses his arms, he cups his chin a bit, pondering... ... it would be good for everyone to cover more ground at least, but... ... looks at Rin, to see what she thinks. ]

[ She nods a bit! ]

Guess there really ain't much else of a choice, 'cept goin' and tryin' to see how big this place is and where everythin' is, right?

[ She gets Kai's hand, to hold! Lightly squeezes it a bit. ]

[ ...He nods back at her, squeezing her hand lightly back reaffirmingly. Looks back at Veno. ]

I suppose we shouldn't waste time, then. In not knowing how big this place might be, there could be a lot of ground to cover.

[ Venomania will call the rest of the group over, who were largely mingling among themselves. ]

Does anyone have any preference as to who they travel with...?

I'm traveling with Allen.

[ The girl who pipes up... Looks a lot like Rin, and she'll cling to a boy who looks suspiciously like her. ]

[ --Rin doesn't fail to see the similarities, which causes her to stare with a bit of a confused expression, but... she doesn't think much on it for long either, deciding to think more at the question on hand. Which, she replies with while squeezing Kai's hand. ]

I wanna go with Kai-nii...

[ Kai squeezes her hand gently back, nodding. ]

I suppose that's chosen out. ...

[ Still though, he looks around, more curiously than anything. How many are here, how many would be in a group? Glancing around, none particularly familiar--- ... until. Is that---? ]

[ --He glances over at Rin, kinda giving her hand another squeeze. When she looks over, he kinda gestures his head over to Kachessa. Looking over, Rin gasps! Both proceed to go over to her. ]

Heeeello~.

[ Well, Kachessa seems happy to see them. Especially since she's kind of been watching Venomania this entire time. ]

Well, that's some familiar faces. How are you two?

[ He kinda chuckles. He has a genuine smile on as well, seeing one other familiar face is a small comfort. ]

Well enough, I suppose. At least, well enough for waking up not knowing where we are.

[ Rin's smiling brightly! ]

Yeah--! We've got each other and now Chessa-nee too~! How're you---? Do y'have any idea 'bout what's goin' on---?

I'm afraid I've no clue. No one does. We all woke up here, on the ground.

[ She'll sigh and then shake her head. ]

...Also, I apologize for Rook's father.

Hahh, no idea whatsoever... this really is troublesome.

[ ... wait. ]

...That was his father---?? [ Somehow, he didn't realize that. He was paying more attention to, well, being a bit leery of him being near Rin. Oops. ]

[ Rin seems a little surprised as well, kinda muttering 'Rooks papa, huh...'. ]

Yes. Sateriasis Venomania. Thankfully, Rook looks more like me than he ever looked like him.

[ Speaking of, she's now going to take both their hands and begin to march off. The reason why is abundantly clear moments later if they look back. Venomania had started to approach, and is now looking rather dejected. ]

I suppose that is for the best--- ---??

[ Kai and Rin both seem surprised at suddenly being marched off with. Kai glances back just a bit... ]

--Ah. [ and from there, he just looks forward again. ] So. I suppose we'll start investigating this strange place?

[ ---looking back a slight bit herself, she feels kinda bad about his dejected expression, but. Might as well not dwell on that right now, they need to explore this place.... ]

Where do we go on startin' anyway---?

I'd like to start at the end of the hall. Away from the rest of them. There's also a downstairs, from what we can tell. We did do some cursory looking around that area you woke up in.

[ It was just that no one wanted to watch them and everyone felt bad leaving them there and vulnerable. ]

[ He nods, looking over in that general direction with a thoughtful expression, before looking back at Chessa. ]

Mn. Sounds good.

[ He glances over at Rin, who nods and smiles! Determined small fist! "Soundin' like a plan!"

Kai gives a small smile back, then looks at both a bit more seriously. ]

No time to waste, then. Lets start this investigation, hopefully we'll come across some kind of clue as to why we're all here.

[ Investigation, go! The doors at the very end of the hall are all labeled with names. Banica Conchita, Kayo Sudou and Sateriasis Venomania. Kachessa finds this interesting. ]

...I recognize one of the names.
